Shopify → WooCommerce
Shopify to WooCommerce, done for you in 5 to 15 days.
We move your products, variants, customers, orders, reviews, blog, and media onto WordPress and WooCommerce, then 301 redirect every old Shopify URL so your rankings come with you.
What we move
Everything comes across. Nothing is left behind.
Automated tooling (Cart2Cart, LitExtension, or WebToffee, chosen per store) lifts your catalogue and history, then we hand-migrate the parts CSV exports miss: theme, blog, redirects, and metafields.
- Products & variants
- Customers
- Order history
- Reviews
- Categories & tags
- Blog posts & pages
- Images & media
- 301 redirects
Yes, if the redirects are done properly. Shopify locks every URL behind fixed prefixes (/products/, /collections/, /pages/, /blogs/). WooCommerce uses different paths, so nearly every URL changes. We build a complete 301 map, wildcard the predictable patterns, and keep it live for at least a year. That map is the single most important part of the job, and it is included.
The process
Five stages. Your Shopify store keeps trading until the last one.
We build on a staging site while your live store runs, so there is no gap in sales until cutover.
Week 1
Audit
We map your URL structure, data, apps, and SEO assets, then produce a migration plan and a risk register. This is where we flag any app without a clean WooCommerce equivalent, before you commit.
Build
Staging build
WooCommerce goes up on a staging domain with your theme rebuilt on a lean, fast stack. Your Shopify store carries on selling.
Migrate
Data migration
Products, variants, customers, orders, and reviews are imported and checked. We hand-migrate the blog, metafields, and anything the automated tools cannot carry.
Protect
QA & redirects
Full checkout testing on desktop and mobile, every payment and shipping path, and the 301 redirect map validated URL by URL.
Go live
Cutover & monitoring
We re-migrate any orders placed during the build, switch DNS at a quiet hour, then watch rankings, uptime, and redirects through the 30-day guarantee window.
Shopify vs WooCommerce
What actually changes when you own the stack.
| Shopify | WooCommerce | |
|---|---|---|
| Who can switch you off | Shopify, by policy change | You, on hosting you own |
| Transaction surcharge | 0.5 to 2% unless on Shopify Payments | None. Standard card rates only |
| URL & schema control | Fixed prefixes, app-layer schema | Every URL, redirect, and tag is yours |
| Customer & order data | Exportable, but you rent access | In a database you control |
| Restricted categories | Removed with little notice | Your call, your compliance |

Honest about cost
The reason to move is control, not a cheaper bill.
Once you count managed hosting, a few premium extensions, and maintenance, WooCommerce total cost at scale can land close to Shopify. What you gain is the removed surcharge, no plan lock-in, and the fact that no policy change can take your store offline. We quote a fixed price after the free audit, so there are no surprises.
